What Did We Do?
We provided our end-to-end service to Enviko Energy, which included site surveys, designs, installations and a comprehensive handover.
The process started with our team visiting the site to assess its roof space and location and to understand the client’s operational needs. We used this information to inform our designs and plans going forward.
Our team were then able to start designing a solution that would fit on their roof while providing enough energy to efficiently and reliably provide the energy needed for the facility to run.
Throughout the design process, we ensured that we collaborated with the client, keeping them in the loop and discussing needs and expectations. The proposed system was a commercial 105kw peak solar PV system made up of 420 solar panel modules with trapezoidal roof fittings.
With the client happy that our system would function for their needs, we set an installation date. We spent a couple of weeks on-site installing solar panels to the roof and additional systems, such as energy storage systems.
With everything in place, we completed a comprehensive handover with those who would be handling the system on a day-to-day basis. In this handover, we explained how the system worked, the signs of issues, and how to use the app to monitor the performance.
To complete the project, we also worked to get relevant certifications to ensure the system met the required standards.
The Outcome
The project was installed to a high standard, exceeding the expectations of the client.
Installation of the system was particularly challenging as high winds delayed the crane lifts. Therefore, the process took longer due to the interruptions. Despite this, we were able to fit the system efficiently and promptly.
The system has an Annual Energy Production of 47.63 MWh, meeting the needs of the facility and has saved 9.21t of carbon emissions annually, which is the equivalent of 423 trees planted a year.
While completing the project, strict health and safety rules were adhered to, ensuring the health and safety of our installation team and those on-site.
The client was satisfied with the service provided by Excel Energy, and we were confident that our system would supply the energy needed for the facility to run and last.
